Yeah I have no hate or bad feeling toward them it's just that like you I had to borrow a car from my dad for a week and go without my baby. Oh and to top that they did that darn reverse horn honk recall without asking me I hate that thing sooooo much.

i called about the issue on monday and they said i could do it my self with silicone or send it in and they would replace the harness so there are your options i guess and if i decide to put the box back on is water the only issue with that sensor going out cause nobody likes to be stranded

Yeah, It will be easier and probably better if you just clean the plug and silicone it yourself. Then your engine bay should be as safe as it was stock.

Yes, seal them both (where wires go through rubber plug). It's obvious where you need to apply silicone, there are sloppy holes where the wires go through.

TCR,
I can sense the frustration your having, but I honestly dont know why your putting Quad on Blast? A simple call to the 1-800# to talk to the techs, or a request could have been made to talk to Quad himself. Im glad you brought this to my attention, and for that matter everyone elses, but I dont think Quad meant to bash you for washing your motor....he's on here to hang out too sometimes! Theres not a better diesel sight than this one is there?

Also,
I dont know what you guy's are talking about when you say the customer service is starting to get worse? The customer service I received was outstanding! One of Quads Tech's, Justin (who needs a big raise), was so helpful....he even drove to my house and completely reprogrammed my X2...my commander, re-installed everything..including a new wireing harness, trans gauge, rail pressure, and even put in a fuel pressure sensor!!! And all he wanted was some BBQ and a cold beer!!! He even came back for more BBQ and replaced the fuel pressure gauge cause it was jumping!

NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU CANT BEAT!!!

....Now my truck runs like a raped ape!

Boss, You are 100% correct. My point, that is aggrvating me more and more every day that they avoid posting on this topic, is you and I both know there are guys out there w/ these boxes that dont know JACK about these trucks and when they have to have ANYTHING done by a shop it's 100s or 1000s of dollars. Why is there not a mass recall or a huge posting of the problems that these harnesses can and WILL cause?????? That's all!!! Own up to it gdi!! Maybe I should let it go and everyone can fend for themselves w/ the lack of info that is out there; is that how it should be? Please dont mistake me for someone who is trying to get a buck out of Quadzilla, I'm not that kind of guy and I don't need the $ like that.
