Quadzilla Switch mount

Looking for ideas/suggestions on where to mount the switch for the Xzillirader module. The directions say not to mount it under the steering column which is where I had planned on mounting it. Thanks

You can actually mount it anywhere you want. We just wanted to warn people before they go drilling a hole that the panel under the dash is really too thick as it consists of 2 pieces of plastic mated together.

if you want to spend the time you can make it work. You will need to drill your hole and then you will need to chip the plastic off of the back side somehow so that it is only as thick as a single piece of plastic.

Underneath the cup holder (in models with the fold down cupholders), there is a removable bexel about 3-4" tall. I put mine in the lower left hand side of it.

I thought it would be cool to put it where the cigarette lighter is near the right side of the steering wheel. Have it on a push in / pull out spring sort of assembly. And then modify the actual cigarette lighter to go over the switch so it would be hidden. Anybody have any good ideas how to do that?

Switch Mount

I think the area under the cup holder sounds the best, I will take a look at it tonight when I get home.

Thanks for the help!

I have an '06 so the dash is a little different than yours, but I mounted mine in a switch blank:
