In previous posting you stated that the higher rail pressure the box develops have a rattle noise (pulse sound). How do you tell if the knock at part load is timing advance or injectors noise? Would the pressure pulse noise be the same at xzt box level 1,2,or 3 settings? How do you know if there is too much timing advance? I know backing off the timing reduced the noise some what, however did not remove it. My question is with the combination of xzt box and the tone ring mod, is this too much advance. I have the tone ring at stock position now and the mileage is down from running at advance position. Would be nice to go back if that does not damage the engine.
Also, with the commander, what performance ratings does the xzt box do at each level setting. Is setting 0 and 1 the same?
