Buddy of mine gave me a zillaraider 3 way adjustable box that he could not use.My 03 3500 has 133k on it ,all stock never tuned or modified.Think of any issues with waiting this long to start adding a box?motor should be good and broken in.
I have ben without a Cummins since selling my 97 12v a few years ago so I am rusty.sorry if the question sounds newbie ish.

Nah not a dumb question, I dont think its too late heck im at over 300k and want to add a box as soon as I can figure out which one I want!

 

yeah my prob is I am having flashbacks from my ole 97 12v that I threw a TST plate in ,then gauges,then tranny,then came all the tires I burnt up.I just wanna have a little more oomph with out the damage.I like the good fuel mileage and the torque.I am not wanting to make a race truck out of it.I have had Grand nationals and turbo subarus to do that stuff in.

 

Heck, I had over 110K when I added my mods. Over 160K now and still strong. Just a little injector/CP3/fuel rail issue right now I think. Nothing I wasn't planning on upgrading anyway.

I think its addicting and while I have my cars as well to play with this is a WHOLE different kind of playing...

I will say though this is my daily work truck earns me my living and I dont want to over do it either same as you a bit extra HP and TQ and better fuel mileage is exactly what im going for but I also want gauges so I figure why not get a box with them all in it? I still dont know if I want Edge, Commander, BullyDog, or whatever else I may be forgetting!
