Quad Standard Box - Economy Mode?

G'day guys,

Just a quick question for those whom are running the Quad standard box (30-60-100). If running in the 30 or 60 setting do you experience the same MPG improvements as quote for the Quad "Tow Box"? ...or are they completely different settings.

I ask as I am really chasing the benefits of the 65hp box; more HP and great economy, but I'd also like the ability to "jump" the the 100hp setting for the odd play.

Please tell me that the 100hp box has an economy mode, please - I'd much prefer to buy the box with the bigger HP option

Thanks guys...

id say that the 30hp setting would be economy but not for sure. you could pm quad, or maybe he'll chime in. i love the standard box but im going to the race box to try to squeeze out some more power.

I run the standard box and only notice a 1-2mpg increase on 60hp setting and that's with keeping my foot out of it. The 30 and 100hp settings show a loss of mileage. All based on highway, handcalculated numbers, filling up to the neck and burping the tank of any extra air. I've sent my box in to have it flashed to the 65 tow setting to see if it will yield any better results.

I agree with Jmac. My mileage went up in the 60hp mode, but fell using the
others. I know why mileage went down in the 100hp mode , but I was
suprised that the mileage was less in the 30hp mode.

If you want another option for around the same price take a look at SP Diesel's Stage IIe , I've got one on my truck and it works great. Its got 10 power levels ranging from 0 - 140 hp and a seperate Fuel Economy mode. I leave mine in fuel economy mode most of the time, and crank it up to "HO" (high output) mode when I need to teach a ricer a lesson.
