Quad/Smarty Stack on the Dyno 305/555 2003

Well I was hoping for +/-500hp, but didn't get there. THe best runs were:

Smarty alone #9 was 407/775
Smarty#9/Quad Race 60hp= 458/872
Smarty#9/Quad Race 140hp= 454/907
Smarty#7/Quad Race 140hp= 447/918
Smarty#7/Quad Race 100hp= 451/912

Dynojet Dyno 77*/ Humidity74%/ 29.10in-Hg

I made many more runs, but only posted the best ones. Max boost was 42psi, I see 47-48 on the street. I dont understand how far off the hp/tq #s were w/ different settings. HP goes down, TQ goes up. I'm thinking injectors are probably holding me back, what do you guys think?

I found the same thing when I Dynoed my truck. I did 435/892 with the Smarty on 7 and Quad box on 60. The more I turned up the Quad box the more torque I made but the horsepower dropped off. I'm in the process of getting my hands on some Flux 2's now, so hopefully I will be over 500 and closer to 550.

His truck is an 04.5 and he has better stock injectors than the 03-04 trucks. Not sure what other mods he might have.

tcr,
My guess is you're at the limits of the stock injectors and the CP3 pump.

I'll be happy to make 450hp!

You guys w/ the 600s and 610s need to stay out of this, all you need is a Smarty and a stock truck and you'll have my #s. One thing I didn't do is use the WILD program, I used the Mod TM. How many extra ponies, if any are in the Wild?

Your right, the 60hp setting added alot to the Smarty, but going to the 100 and 140hp settings from the 60hp really made no difference. I'd say an xzt would have gotten me close or the same #s.

TexasCTD, I think, only had a Walbro kit and maybe a drop in air filter.

Got 464/1018 with TST and Edge EZ stack on stock turbo. Would've thought you could hit 500 with that HTB2 turbo? What gives-does the smarty not fuel as hard? Could tranny make a difference?

We just installed the Walbro at our last DTR gtg earlier this month. My dyno run was back in February on the stock, filter housing mounted, fuel pump. It was pulling down pretty close to zero fuel pressure.

And my air supply is an AFE Stage 2 pg7.

Everything else was stock. Smarty Level 9, 466hp/922tq. on Dynojet. http://www.riegerweb.com/Nortex_DTR/...I/TexasCTD.WMV

Im gonna dyno again hopefully in April with the Walbro installed, but I doubt it will change my numbers any.

My guess is that the 04.5 on up trucks have different injectors and that accounts for the power difference. Im sure some Flux injectors would take care of that and then some for the 03-04 trucks though.

Good numbers, but I will have to say that I was planning on this stact too, and hoped to see you say 500+ easy! I bet you could put down more with a bit more in the trans.

Us 03-04 guys cant get a break! Now we have to buy injectors??
