Quad regular or race?

Decided on a quad box, just don't know which one. I got the intake and exhaulst openned up, auto, I really don't ever see upgrading the trans or turbo. Read alot of reviews, seems everone likes the 60 and 100 hp settings. I wondering if I'll ever use or get any benefit with the 140 hp setting on the race box or the same with the 30 hp on the regular box, would I ever use it. I tow a 5000lb trailer most weekends, will the 60 hp be too much, would I use the 30 for towing? I am going to hold out on gauges for quads set up to come out which will hopefully be soon!

I have the race box and love it I tow a 9000 5th wheel on the 60 mode and the 100 mode with no problems at all. I leave it on the 60 mode empty and get about 1.5 mpg more. I play with it on the 130 mode when I am racing around. I have never had any problems with it yet and I put it on the truck when it had a 1000 miles on it now it has 14000 still going good. GO WITH THE RACE BOX YOU WILL LOVE IT.

The only reason I didn't go with the Race box is that I was afraid I'd like the 140-horse setting too much and tear up my tranny! Since you said you weren't interested in upgrading yours, that might be something to consider: Can you resist the temptation to hammer on it?

BTW, I see in your sig you have a Rokktech sensor. I put mine on last weekend and it works fine w/ my 100hp Quad box.

I have the race and am glad i didn't get the standard, I dont think its worth having a 30 hp setting, its just not worth it. I tow a heavy trailer 17000 and do have to turn it down on long steep grades, but I dont have a bigger exhust yet (maby next year). I very rarly have to step it down to the 60 hp setting but do once in a while. With no load you dont have to worry what setting you have it in. Get the race you will be happy you did.

I had the standard, and upgraded to the race.

Get the race and be done with it. The 30hp setting is useless. It is good below 1/2 throttle, but if you mat the pedal you don't really get going any faster.

60 and 100 work great, and 130 is fun too, but I need a new lift pump to get the full benefit.

Just ordered the race box, looks like the new "monitor" will be out real soon so I'm holding out on gauges for it. I know this isn't the smartest move, figure I'm safe in 60 all the time and for towing my 5k trailer (I'm in florida so not too many hills, none steep), maybe a few short burts in 100 and stay away from 130 till the gauges. Thanks for all the help everyone

If I have mine on 130 mode it will get to 1500* but you have to be running about 105mph to get it there. So racing around empty I would not worry about it. Hope you enjoy it.

I"d go with the race also, same reasons as above, no use for the 30 hp setting. I tow 7,000 lbs on 60 hp setting without any problems what so ever
