Quad Commander Wiring Question for 06's

I've got a Commander soon to be on it's way to me and I have a question about the wiring. I have everything covered except for tapping into the ECT sensor on the engine. Quad's manual states to use a multi-meter to find the correct wire, but I don't have a multi-meter right now; my Fluke meter died a few weeks ago and I haven't had a chance to pick another one up. Can anyone with an '06 model help me out here? I just need to know which wire to tap into. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

I also still have my previous gauge setup for sale if anyone is interested. ISSPRO 3 gauge pillar kit with pyro, boost, and trans temp; It's all less than a year old and in perfect condition. Contact me for more information if you are interested.

I didn't have a multi-meter at the time either, so I just tapped the wire the directions said to tap (from the directions: "pin B as labeled on top of the connector.") and it worked great.

Do you have an old 12 volt test light. It should light but it would not be very bright.

Also a couple other things.... did yall connect the power wire to fuse #28 as the manual instructs me to do? I wasn't sure if it was the same fuse on all model year trucks. I know the fuse panel seems to be a little different on the 06-07 models compared to the 03-05. I already have a Pyrometer probe installed that I used with my anlog gauges. It should back out pretty easy right? I shouldn't have to drill and tap a new hole should I? I would use the same pyro but it looks like the Quad pyro uses weather-pack type connectors and the pyro I have installed uses regular terminals and shrink wrap. Sorry for all the questions. I want this install to go as smoothly as possible......

Thanks for the info. That was what I was hoping to hear. How about the fuse? Is #28 correct?

You'll have to dremel out a little bit of your fuse box lid to get the wire out of the fuse box.

Good point JT. I didn't think about that. I've got a dremel @ the house so that shouldn't be a problem at all. Thanks for the info!
