Quad commander install?

Yea yea yea...I know..."try the search botton". lol I tried that and I didn't find it.

I'm fixing to install my commander and I don't see how I'm ever gonna get those wires between the "A" pillar and the dash. I've got the pillar mount and all but...the instructions say to feed the wires through. Does that top dash panel pop off w/ just a little tug?

Help a brotha out!

i ended up pulling the whole a pillar out and laying the bracket over it. I couldnt cram the pillar mount between the two. Pain but love mine. If i remember right the cover directly over the gauges on the top pops out a bit.

I was thinking that I'd have to pull the pillar out a little also. Somewhere around here I saw a detailed write-up on a commander install. I've searched all kind of different ways. I guess I suck at the search!

Mine all fit fine. I ran the commander wire behind the Quad pillar mount and down the door frame next to the dash. If you pull the door seal away from the frame you can see that there is plenty of room for the Commander wire.

I drilled a half inch hole in the bottom of the pillar mount and ran the wires through that. Then I tucked them into the weather stripping that runs along the door, then down through the knee panel. Sorry if that doesn't make sense

Aaahhh I see the light now. I was looking at running the wires on the dash side of the pillar at first. Now I see it needs to run down the pillar on the door side instead. I read in the instructions about pulling the door seal away. I guess it just pops right back on? There's just something about pulling stuff off of my expensive truck that makes me a little uneasy. lol

The seal just peels away and it will press back into place easily.
