Propane Kit Pressures?

A lot of that is relative to how you have the flow set or what type of system you are using. Do you have a system in mind? I am familiar with the PS2000, I also used a homemade system for a little while but it didnt provide the flow I wanted on the high end.

Do yourself a favor and buy a good system from the begining. I ran a homemade system and trust me they are not the same at all. Unless you know how to design a system with variable flow based on boost you will either be running too much LP on the low end or not enough at the high end. All of the good systems have that feature built in. Most homemande systems have constant flow which means you get the same volume of LP if you are running 10lbs of boost or 30 lbs. There is a big difference in performance between the two types of systems. You also end up wasting a lot of your gas with a homemade system as well. All in all you get better performance, safety and economy with a professional system. I found a used PS 2000 on e-bay for only $225 and have been using it ever since, it works great. You do need to be very careful how much flow and pressure you set in your system and you wont have any problems. Start with very little and work your way up a little at a time. That stuff will wreck havoc on an engine if you dont use it right.
I run the PS2000 all the time great addition to the way the engine performence is and MPG's are about 2-3 more. I talk with the tech on design and function and told it is a very safe system as at 5lbs boost it releases a very small amount of propane and is releasing full at 15lbs of boost. as for hp's the factory settings are 70hp and can be adjusted to 100hp but not recommend as if detenation is there your engine will be done!

The way I set mine up is to turn on all boxes, chips, downloaders, etc all the way up then adjust the flow on the PS2000 ever so slightly up (1/8th turn at a time) until I start to hear detonation then back it down until I dont hear it anymore, that way you know you are safe under any condition. The unit has a flow shutoff valve designed in it so at zero boost you get zero LP flow. It is safe as long as the flow valve is adjusted properly. I do not recommend adjusting it with your boxes turned down or off. If you it that way and turn on your PS 2000 with the box turned up you will have more timing advance, duration, fuel etc from the box and may have too much LP which would result in detonation and problems. I love having it and it is instant HP but you have to be careful with it and set it up right.
