Programmer/least Smoke
I love my Smarty and the lastest version seems to have definitely made controlling the smoke much easier. But just beware at least on Moderate TQ and above version you will have to roll into the throttle to minimize smoke on take off. My TST/EZ stack does not smoke on normal daily driving settings, but after a week or so without the Smarty throttle response and low end I could not stand it. I am triple stacked again and probably for good.
My brother bought a new 06 and put 6" lift and 37's. After seeing mine run he has decided he wants a programmer but doesn't like a lot of smoke. He knows you will get a little but does not want it to fog out 3 city blocks. My superchip runs great and he likes it even though they're not good at keeping their word it is good cheap power. I told him about the smarty and diablo so can anyone help with info comparing these 3. I read a lot of good things about the smarty but seems like it will smoke alot. I guess my question is can you set the smarty to run good with out blacking out everything around you or will the diablo or superchip be better. By the way he is one of those guys that pretty much babies his truck so no racing or hard driving even though I tell him as soon as he gets a taste of it he'll want more.
I have the Flashpaq, but may look into something else soon. I have been very impressed with the "bang for the buck" of the Superchips. I have practically no smoke, ever. I have never tried the tow setting, as I have always ran in performance mode. I only had one glitch with the flashpaq, but they had me back in business over the phone in no time.
