Smarty also made good numbers on the trucks in fact it made 500hp same day same truck and that was with TNT lvl7 timing 0, rail 4, torque 4.......What I was stating is the real difference in the programmers them selves and the features of them in order to better educate a member on here. YOU of all people know what I recommend
but I still think tht each memebr d=needs to research for themselves to find a product that fits......I did and after quad, edge juice, smarty jr, smarty, triple dog and PMT.....PMT is what I stuck with because of the reasons I have metioned in this thread.....real life knowledge not just "smarty rules" LMAO.....it got so bad for awhile my wife was like *** why do you need all the computer things. lol...now I just have ONE....happy trial and error man we have all been there and done that not only with programming but with turbos and tires and on and on
Oh and if these forums are so stupid why are you logged on to one??? I know you're trying to vent some frustration directed at some past issues but it aint needed. If there is so much BS ing going on you can keep that stuff between PM. Not trying to call you out, but some things are better left unsaid.
I don't know where your info comes from, but they are not "basic" 2nd gen computers. The 03-04 HPCR started what we now see as the 3rd gen motor, it set the foundation for what you have now. Lets not mix this up.

as "stupid " is the lack of information that is givin to someone....what real info have you added to this thread for this guy who wants some real world knowledge...have you had other programmers? I hope you have....tell the guy the differences and tell him why it would work better on his 07....thats what he wants to know after all
By the way i got alot of info for YOU which I appreciate but dont come in here with "the strong hand" over NOTHING
I like to help people look in the right direction. I DO NOT like to argue with others about credibility issues. If what I am saying is wrong (and you did read everything I had to say, right?) I don't mind any one calling me out and setting the record straight. All you have done thus far is begin an instigating game. And buddy, dyno numbers aren't everything, max power is worthless in daily driving.
And to set the record straight, I have run in order:
BullyDog (of course i know what you'll say, but what you don't know is I also had a mysterious code pop up almost every hour that I drove, after getting no help resolving it I sold it for the Banks six gun, which was even worse.
Banks
Diablosport Predator. Great tune, but my truck idled like crap and my idle was low, I just didn't see how it was reliable. Sold it after a week
Smarty didn't really like it at first, there were som many different programs and I had trouble understanding the zipfiles and etc. When the beta programs came into effect things made a giant leap for me, as i was just starting to do my more extensive mods. And you know what, I haven't had near as many issues, no codes, a broad range of programs to run, and the customer service is known to satisfy.
On an 07 I can't say any is better, so i didn't (not even an opinion) I told him essentially to research common issues, pricing, customer service and such.
Thanks for your concern...

From my experience between smarty and the bullydog PMT the PMT for me and my truck is hands down the best out there. I could get my smarty as hot or hotter than i can with the pmt so as far as dyno and usuable HP my vote for my truck and prolly the other 06s out there is BD. Also to get the high performance tune for the smarty you have to basically bow down to god err Bob and even them you have a great chance of not getting it. I spent well over 7K on my engine and then when i tried to get tnt/r i got called a flame fanner or some crap because I posted real world results for members on tdr to view from a shootout that was held on CF i believe. With BD you dont have to be in the circle to get their all out tune just get online and ask someone or go to where it is a sticky note and download easy as turning on your computer and getting online... oh yeah like what was said before PMT is also truly adjustable on the fly with no need to do a little dance to change your power levels, simply push a button and go.

I'm not saying I don't believe you Wyo, I'm just wondering why your numbers were so much higher than mine?
At the time I had the stock lift pump (giving my zero psi while on the dyno but the engine didn't seem to be lacking fuel) and the stock clutch which didn't sound like it was slipping at the time.
That was my first and only time on the dyno, I went in hoping to get over 400 so was very happy with the 443. Talking to the more experience dyno guys that came up form the US, they told my the mustang dyno at B&D has a history of being frugal, but still my results were about 60hp less. Maybe it was lacking fuel, maybe the clutch was slipping slightly? Don't know, but I'm looking forward to the next dyno days in October, wanna see if adding the X2 will get me over 500.
I guess what I'm saying is we should all take these dyno numbers with a grain of salt, just like some people's mileage claims (but that's another story)
Wyo and Rip, both of you have helped me out in the past, don't get too worked up over the Smarty vs BD thing, it's not worth it...
Although I've never tried a Smarty (nor do I have oplans to) my BDTD has worked well for me, never thrown a code or caused me any grief and the dyno proved it's working well. I wish Buddy was still around though...

I hope i didn't help rowl things up, just wanted to keep the pertinent info in. I know it always starts a war, but thats not my intentions.
Its a hard question to answer directly, opinions are just that, opinions, and not one truck is exactly the same. Too many factors contribute to whats better than others or not.

Good info man.
And just to give the thread starter some info.....a stock 2006-2007 should dyno 285hp and i think 565-580tq....I might be wrong on the torque but its right around there.
