Hey guys,

Right now I have the edge j/a and mp-8. I also have a set of 37 and 35" tires, and I would like to be able to program my own tire size, remove the speed governor, and maybe change a few more things about how the truck runs.

I am not looking for a programmer that necessearly makes the most power, but something that would let me change computer parameters and then maybe work ok with my stack. But I think right now I don't need any more power. Different maybe.

Also, what else can some of these programmers alter? What about dissabeling certain things like auto door locks and seatbelt warning (Ya, i know you can do it following a on/off precedure for the seatbelt lets say, but i'm talking about the program change). What about being able to enable the fog lights with highbeams?

And lastly, what about reducing or dissabeling torque managment? And how much would that affect how the truck runs/shifts?

Let me know what you guys thing would be the best programmer for me.
I'm still deciding if I should keep this truck or buy a new one.

On my bully dog i can remove the tq management, add low end fueling, remove the seat belt minder, enable high idle w/cruise control buttons, change how long my accesories stay on when i turn it off, auto door lock disable, hi beams and fog lights(one of my favorites), and more i cant remember. The internet upgradeabiltiy is also very nice(and free). Although it cant change your speedo or remove your speed limiter(which on 37's i think 109 is pretty fast, expecailly since your probably going 130 since your speedos off) A side note i wouldnt take the tq management of unless your running a fully built trany, it is extremly aggrasive!!

 

Ya, I would probably leave the tq. managment in there, but my speedo right now is corrected, and the speed limiter is set to stock. Dealer wants money each time to correct it, and I don't want to pay every time I swap from AT to MT tires.

 

smarty programmer also will do all of those things and it is not traceable. ask anybody on this site, the smarty works great.

There is no point for me to get one that won't do tires and/or speed limiter
