Anyone have any problems with the smarty? Ive read all things about programmers screwing up ECMS and what not. Its what im afraid of. But they say they dont erase anything. But im Leary. Anyone with any problems?

 

I believe the majority of issues seen with the SMARTY is when the owner had a downloader from another company previously installed that had a non US firmware.

Installing firmware, just like loading software on computers, there is a slim chance that something could go wrong. Just the nature of things.

I installed one on my 06 about 6 months ago and am having no probllems except keeping my foot out of it.

 

same here, its like the SMARTY glues your foot to the pedal..lol

 

I had a Superchips I loaded & unloaded a bunch of times. Then I had a Diablo/Predator I loaded & unloaded a bunch of times. Now I have a Smarty that I have loaded & unloaded a bunch of times. I even unloaded it, got a dealer reflash, then loaded & unloaded it a bunch more times again.

Never had any problems.
