You think I maybe got a bad gauge? The actual reading of the gauge works great!! But for some reason I have lost 2 rp sensors in 2 weeks. The quad gauge is the only thing thats hooked directly into the rp sensor.

Could this be my problem??

I have had 3 or 4 race boxes on over the last 2 months with the same results, truck runs stock. I installed the X2 Monday and the rail guage will read between 1100 and 1200, 11K and 12K PSI. I called Quad ad they said that I have a pressure issue.

Does this sound right?

It reads 6K at Idle and 10K - 12K when running. I have only hit 12K once or twice standing on it. The boost will show high 30s and 40 now and then.
Quad has been great to work with.
The truck starts and runs great, but the setting on the race box does not change the performance.
Any suggestions?? I have tried the old race and just installed then new X2 with the same results. Could it be something other than the fuel?

not sure what a frv thingy is but only 12k when rompin seems a bit low,ur 05 should at least see 17-20k even stock,i didnt notice much dif in the seetings on the x2 till i stacked it with the pred tuner, with the x2 on 5 on the smoke tune and no pred it seemed like trottle response was bit better but nothing really big,the pred by itself was a very huge gain and then with the x2 i notice a nice gain now.hope this helps

FRPV stands for fuel rail pressure valve. Being that you can only get 12k I would test your rail pressure valve. For an easy test you can remove it and cap it off...if your pressures are now normal then the valve is shot, if they are still low then you could have injector or injector tube issues as well as other (FCA, etc).

Where is the FRPV? I know very little about the rail system.

I'm leaning towards another cause like corrosion/moisture in the connector/harness or another failure of something causing the code. I could be wrong however but just can't see the relation between a rail pressure gauge and failed sensor.
It might be possible moisture is getting into the UNsealed weatherpack connector at the rail pressure sensor connector.
