So I got my tuner this morning and went right ahead and installed the tow tune. I was only able to take the truck for a test drive around the block.

Impressions so far is smooth as it can be. Its so smooth that you really don't notice much difference.

I'm towing my TT this weekend so I will post results, next week.

I was averaging 11 to 12 MPG with the trailer, will see how it does with the new tune.

 

I wouldn't do any updating yet. There having ruff idle and surging when cruising on the road with new up date with tune on the fly. Go to there site and do some research before you do software updates.
I'm waiting to hear you thoughts when you get back.

 

My truck feels a bit laggy when I tow on the tow tune. The performance tune tows much better but you just have to be careful.
My mileage did not change at all with the Predator and/or the puck. The overhead reads about 5-6mph higher than it really is getting though....

 

The tune on the fly stuff is only for the 06's and up. He's got an 04'...

 

And I haven't heard of any problems on the 305s. I tow on 100hp and my turbo cools great.

 

I was going to install the 100 hp tune but I figure I'll give the tow tune a try first.

No updates needed, it came with the latest rev. they are up to rev. 27 for that year.
