PowerPuck Pros & Cons

Looking at maybe getting a new module. I like the simple plug and play type boxes. Power wise, how is the PowerPuck compared to other plug and play modules? All opinions are welcome.

Thanks, ERIC

they are a presure only box and not very agresive, they work fine for what they were designed to do,they can be had pretty cheap on the clasifieds here, for like a 100$used they are fine but i would get a used quad x2,they have updateable features and u can load a milage tune and then tromp on her with a smoke tune with the push of a button, much more bang for the buck.quads cusomer service is much better too.

I had the Puck for a while. It worked good with the Juice, not all that great with the predator, and pretty unnoticeable my itself. I have upgraded to the X2 and have no complaints

It is pressure only (although the website says timing too) 60 hp and 90 hp. It does make a difference although I doubt 90hp unless on a bone stock truck. Stacked with smarty beta 4.2 it was good for another 30-40 hp. For the money it is a pretty good unit. About 1/6th the price of a Banks six-gun to do the same thing.

I read that the extreme power puck is going to be 0-100hp on the fly like the mp-8.

Thanks, guys. Yeah I saw they where going to release an Extreme version, but after what you guys have said, I might look at something else. My 70hp box now adds pressure and timing. So, it's a pretty strong module for what it is and even will hold itself against an Edge Juice box on 100hp setting. Anyway, any thoughts on the Xzillaraider Race or the X2? Also if anyone knows of a good plug & play box, please let me know.

Thanks a bunch, ERIC

THe better boxes, IMO, are the TST (#1, but depending on the mfg date of your truck, you may or may not be able to use it) and the Quad X2.

For the cost/features/benefits and all that, the X2 might be your best choice.

I ran a puck on my 07 for a while. Rail pressure was 27000+ anytime I got on it. The Predator was nowhere near that and it made so much more power...

Power Puck is a awesome when combined with a boost fooler. The Mp-8 did not work very well on my truck but it gave me 48hp over regular smarty.

Required, no. Recommended, yes. It just simply helps to know exactly what you are doing for tuning and making sure you are not draining the rail or going too high.

I guess that'll be the next thing I look at then - I have been pretty satisfied with the 60hp setting for towing & general driving. My mileage goes down too much with the 90 setting since the pedal is more sensitive & I'm having too much fun
