power pup vs. triple dog

What's the differences between the two boxes? I've got a stock 05 auto that I use to pull about 5-6K through the mountains so I'm looking for a little help on the long, steep pulls. I also wouldn't mind being able to blow some smoke just for fun as retarded as I know that is

First off blowing smoke is never retarded...it is one of the best parts about these trucks.

As far as I understand basically they are the same thing...but:

The Triple Dog is the "better" choice because Bully Dog is only providing free upgrades (read the Crazy Larry setting) for the Triple Dog and not the Power Pup. Also if you ever sell your Dodge and switch to a different make, why would you ever want to...but oh well you never know you may be given a free truck some day thats about the only reason I can think of. The other advantage is if you wanted to sell it you can sell it to anyone, or if you buddy has a Ford/GM then you can let him try it out to see what he/she thinks about it.

So that is my understanding...don't know if it is 100% correct or not, but I love my Triple Dog.

after reading alot on here, is it my correct understanding that when you hook the triple dog up to the truck you have to select what power setting you want and the outlook controls percentages of that? meaning if you set hte triple dog to TOW when its hooked up to OBDII port, then use the monitor for on the fly adjust...on extreme you would only get 100% of the tow setting? im really not impressed in the least, maybe i have it hooked up wrong.
