just installed the power puck and the truck in shuttering at low rpms, not at idle but right when i press in the gas, no other problems at high rpms, any thoughts, thanks guys

 

by the way the truck is a 4.5,

 

Good luck I would ditch it if I were you, you couldnt pay me too run one of them, their customer support it horrible by the way. As for the problem is their any codes evident, changed the fuel filter lately? These could be doing it, weak lift pump how many miles are on the truck?

 

fuel filter is onlt like 6 months old and only 40k on the truck runs like a champ, until i put the puck on, what about the smarty jr, instead?

 

you could have one for a early 04.they are diferent for 04 and 04.5.i have an 04 and i tried 2 for the 04 and they both idles rough and didnt work,i ended up trying an 05 one it worked well,i did get rid of it later for the new x2 updateble box.you probaly have the wrong one,and if you call them you will problay still gt the wrong one.

 

i thought that too, but the one piece of paper that came in the box says for years 2003 to 2005, but then again who know, im thinking of getting my money back going with the smarty jr. what do you think, o ya my truck is a 2004.5, thanks

 

Smarty Jr. will be mutch better imo then that power puck. Those guys over their dont have a clue get your money back and go with a product you can count on and has great customer support.

How many miles are on your fuel filter 6months seems like a good long time. As bad as the fuel is now days I change mine every 10-15k miles quite regularly.

 

I have to put my .02 in on the puck. I got it only because banks holds me back so much and it is a low cost pressure box that stacks with smarty pretty well. I leave the puck off except when in kill mode at track/dyno. It just surges to much for me at low rpms and for 90% of regular driving the Banks is much better and smoother... did I really just say that about the banks??

 

they are pretty good for the buck,ive seen them for 60$ on the classifieds here,thats cheaper than a tank of fuel,i like the updateability of the x2 or i would have kept it.
