Powder coating exhaust?
Clean it good with Simple Green and a brillo pad. Wire brush it to get most of the rust and corrosion off. Clean with rubbing alcohol. Apply a rust converter like POR-15 or Extend. Then srapy on some BBQ paint.
That sounds like a lot of steps. But you'll get a good looking finish that will be pretty durable and not very expensive.

It looks a ton better painted then it did in it's raw alumunized form.
