i believe it does start boost fooling just as your turn it on. because when my boost is bouncing around i can just barely turn it on and it will stop the boost from bouncing around. i guess i can just keep the mp8 on just a touch to keep the boost fooling function w/out using too much more rail pressure.

 

I would if I had the MP8. A little pressure on the bottom helps clear the smoke with the Smarty and gives a boost to efficiency. As long as it doesn't ramp it too high at cruise where you drive steady. The MP8 is one of the best stacks with the Smarty.
