possible metal shavings in cp3, what would happen?
do our fuel injectors have individual filters in them like gasoline injectors do? the reason i ask is because due to a problem w/ an aftermarket cp3 fitting and fuel pressure sending unit i am afraid i may have gotten some small metal shavings into the cp3 while removing and reinstalling these parts several times.
would very small metal shavings go through the cp3 and end up in the injectors and what kind of damage could this cause? does the cp3 itself have an internal filter?
also if i decide to have the injectors rebuilt, how difficult are they to remove and reinstall? does the head need to be removed?

Head does not have to be removed to install injectors.Fuel lines,Inj. tubes, some rockers arms, wiring to injectors, and then the injectors themselves.A little pry on one side with a screw driver and pulling on the top got mine out.Make sure to remember where each part went and put it back in the same place it was removed from when reinstalling.
I think cquestad is right, there are screens in each x-over tube(inj. tube).
