PML diff cover question
PML diff cover question
The factory cover specs 30 ft lbs of torque on the bolts. The instructions with the PML pan say 15lbs, but use your factory specs if they are higher. I was just a little leary of torquing too much into aluminum. What have you guys done?
Thanks guys. I ended up doing 17lbs all the way around. It looks better than I expected.
It took just about 5 quarts before it ran out of the hole. Is this about what you guys added? I wasn't sure I was on exactly level ground...

Shoot, where were these answers 2 months ago
. I actually torqued mine up to about 28 and used red loctite on the bolts. I noticed the factory bolts had thread locker on it so I figured the PML's should too
. This was on the second round. The first time I didn't torque them up as much and did not use thread locker and had seepage around the drain plug and bottom bolts. Oh well, live and learn. So far so good.
