Please provide input is 400-425 HP enough?
Not to derail the OP thread any further LOL
To the original question I have had 2 500hp+ trucks prior to this one and have to agree, if you have 425-450hp that you can trully use, it is more than you need.
IMO the subjective point is how hard you need to use it.
Towing heavy (10-12k) in the hills locally I found my water temps will get too hot if I try to run with to much power. Even with the twins on my trucks I couldn't use much over 4-450hp with out the water temps getting out of hand, but we have some huge hills locally. If you dont have to tow as heavy or live in a area with smaller/shorter hills than you can get away with more.
Ratsun, and everyone else, thanks for the replys, that's good to know. Where I live we have a lot of hills and I too have seen my truck (stock) experience high coolant temps. In fact before pyro that is how I gauged if I was pushing the truck too much, don't want that coolant boiling. So, I have too make the decision today, I think I will just stick with the OFE, and maybe buy the Super B, is the $800 a good deal on a used for 1 year Super B, or should I push for a lower price?
