Pics of Rips 6" Exhaust tip
Pics of Rips 6" Exhaust tip
I previously asked for pics of anyone with the Magnaflow 5" exhaust tip from Rip. How about anyone with pics of a 6" tip, like the one Big Bob has. I'm particularly interested in those that have used this tip on a SRW truck. My concern is it may be too overpowering on a SRW truck, but I'd like to see. Lenght would be another issue since it is 24" long. May have to cut it back some.
Thanks
John
Thanks

6"? I've seen a lot of threads on this site ripping into the ricer guys for their coffee can tips. I would think putting a 6" tip on our trucks would be about the same thing... just how much horsepower do you think you'll gain??

And like John said, I'm looking for pictures.

I personally bought in to the 5" exhaust thing looking for lower EGT's. I'm out of town right now so I have not installed the exhaust yet. Not sure how or if it will work. Just checking to see what my options are (tips for 5" exhaust.)
P.S.- I'm a freak... if I thought that I could pick up 1 extra horse power or maybe a couple ft.lbs. of torque I'd buy it and try it!

The 6" tip I got from Rip is 24" long, we cut the tail pipe off about 4" before the bend where it goes over the axle, then slid the 6" x 24" on as far as we could about 1" from the bend, then welded it on. Having done this, the 24" long 6" tip may stick out too far on a SRW truck.
