1st time? Then plan on pulling the fender well for access and allow 2-2.5 hrs IMO and I've done a few of these. Although, I do like to take the time to do things right and double check my work. Yeah, I could do it in 30 mins, but why, with something that you really can't afford to have problems with.

Hmmm I have to ask Michael at HotRodDiesels who installed mine. Pretty sure it took him well under an hour, but he has done lots of CP3s/Dual CP3 kits.

Now if was me, it would probably be an all day afair, 3 maybe 4 phones calls to Michael for help and potentially wrecker ride to his shop to fix after I am done.

Well, now that you mention it, it could be done Madhat style, 2-3 days and a case of beer later! Wait, the Coozie was empty!!

Now that I think about it, it's a solid 4-5 beer job.

It took me about an Hour....that **** little ball fell out and by pure luck landed on a towel that I had placed under the CP3.... It just took about 20 min to find it! I was lucky that the FCA fasteners came out easy too! I did all the work from the top.

i thought about pulling the cover off the pump and spraying the FCA screws with penetrating oil and let it sit for a few days

All of those torx head screws have the potential to be bears to get out... be prepared for that.

Ha ha... It took a few hours. I could not get crap done because the OL always wants something, and one of the parts looked jacked up...

Tap the sides of the screws hard 4-5 times each. That worked great for me.

Would like to know how well these kits work, how much flow do they increase and just for reference whats the largest injector you could run with an arson kit and still maintain good rail pressure?

I had the II Bag of Parts installed with the Flux 2s and F1 Valve Springs day before IKE hit. Just loaded TNT tonight and will see what levels I can maintain RP.

My stock CP3 has always done pretty well before when I was racing with TST/EZ/Smarty stack. I dyno'd around 585hp with the stack I was running at the track and getting 12.71s ETs pretty consistent. That was older Smarty on SW8, TST R49 05TT, 15* Auto Timing set on 3/0 with EZ on Level 2. Anything higher would drain the rail and start popping.

I just haven't had time to do any tuning which sucks since the DHRA Texas Nationals is this Saturday. But with TST 05tt, Timing 12* Auto and Smarty TNT loaded, just SW4, Timing stock, TQ Moderate, RP 3, wastegate off it pulls pretty strong and seems to hold RP ok.

I will try to get a chance before Friday to go up to SW6 and then SW8 to see where I loose RP.

Hope they have a dyno at the DI pre-race party on Friday. That would sure help tuning for Saturday.

Is this nothing more than a DIY mod that someone else did the work? Or is there more to it?
