I would like some options on improving fuel mileage.

I have a 03 555 and I am currently getting 18.5, almost all highway and my truck is practically stock.

My situation is this, I do field service repair in the midwest and avg 65000 miles/year

I don't usually pull a trailer but I do carry spare parts and tools.
I went across the scales recently at slightly over 4 ton.

I am not really concerned with power () per se but any improvement in mileage would
quickly pay for itself.

I know there are several dealers here and thought they may have a suggestion
on what to spend my tax refund

I figure getting smoother flow of air in and exhaust out would help but I thought I ask the experts that have collectively already done about every mod out there and try to figure what works best.

I appreciate any help I can get.

 

My wifes 04.5 was gettin around 18 whan we installed the Bullydog power pup on the performance level and she is now gettin 19.8 to 20.3 , I also did an AFE stage 2 at the same time..............pending on what else ya want to do with the truck I dont think messin with the exhaust will help you out at all

And still on blended fuel for now, milage will go up when I can find #2 again

 

Mild pressure box, EZ, VA 3.1 would work for ya. I run my EZ on #2-#3 for a couple extra MPG. Some extra pep and mpg, it's all good
