Is there anyone out that who has installed the Pac Break Exhaust Engine Break on a 2004.5 with the Auto. I have read the info fomr Pac Break and they it's okay. I would like to hear from someone.

I have the pac brake on my 04.5 with an auto. Dealer recomended it and install it.
I found that the pac was noisey and as there was no tow loc installed really didn't do anything. The biggest thing to remember is to have a tow loc installed. Otherwise the brake doesn't do anything. I am switching out to a bd exhaust brake, it is quieter and I have been told it is a better brake.

 

OK I give, what is a "Tow-Loc"

 

The tow loc locks up your torque convertor so that the brake can actually slow the vehicle down. with out it you may as well not even use the brake

 

Do you have the new mounting hardware that puts the compressor by the intake horn?
