I just bought the viair kit 20001 myself. I talk to pacbrake and they said max pressure the brake can take is 145psi (prefer 135psi). So I bought a regulator to feed brake.

ubet, where did you mount tank and compressor? Do you have pictures? Trying to find the place for the new system. Tks

 

It got mounted on the frame below the passenger side. I can take pictures later today maybe.

I need a regulator too, how and where are you going to put yours, because I still want the 200 psi for tires

 

I have two ideas one is put it on or near the tank, and two put it on the firewall right above the brake. Liking #2 a bit better so I can see gauge easier. The regulator only needs to be on the line that feeds the brake. That way everything else is still at 200psi.

 

Well I finally got around to installing a regulator today. It makes all the difference. To not be having to turn the tank on and off all the time while I am driving. The switch for the tank is located under the drivers seat, but still a pain in the *** to remember to shut off if I am driving. I tied the regulator right into the cylanoid for the brake, it isnt clean looking, but it seems to work fine so far.
