P1753 code?
P1753 code?
Does anyone know what this means? The only info I found said "transmission transaxle". Ive been having tranny troubles for a while now. Took out the bully dog couple months ago and never ran it above tow. The CEL doesnt ever come on but it goes into limp mode until I make it throw a code.( I just unplug the co pilot). After I clear that code the truck is back to normal. This is the first time this code came up. Any ideas? I wasnt even towing when this happened. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

P1753-TRANSMISSION THROTTLE VALVE MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE
When the Governor pressure is below a minimum threshold when conditions indicate that the Governor pressure should be high. This DTC indicates that the TTVA is working properly electronically but mechanically the output shaft is not moving the Throttle Valve in the transmission.
The end of the TTVA should be keyed or ”D” shaped and fit tightly over the Throttle Valve shaft.
Each time the ignition is cycled to the on position, the ECM commands a TTVA internal calibration procedure (autozero) to determine the zero position. Do not press on the accelerator pedal during this test.
2. Ignition on, engine not running.
3. Observe the output shaft of the TTVA during the autozero procedure.
4. After completion of the autozero procedure, while observing the TTVA shaft, press the accelerator pedal to full throttle.
Does the TTVA internal motor move the TTVA shaft?
No
Replace the TTVA
Yes
Inspect the Throttle Valve shaft on the transmission for free movement. If the Throttle valve does not move freely, inspect internal transmission components related to the Throttle Valve
REMOVAL
1. Remove the bolts (2) holding the transmission throttle valve actuator (TTVA) (1) to the transmission case.
2. Allow the TTVA (1) to rotate clockwise away from the transmission.
3. Remove the wiring connector (2) from the TTVA (1).
4. Lift the TTVA (1) straight upward and off the throttle valve shaft (3).

ADJUSTMENT
The Transmission Throttle Valve Actuator (TTVA) does not require any mechanical adjustments. All changes in throttle valve position are controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM).
The TTVA does require an initialization period after the actuator has been removed or replaced. After the actuator has been removed or replaced, move the iginition to the ON position for thirty (30) seconds. This will allow the ECM sufficient time to perform the internal calibration procedures to learn the TTVA's current “zero” position. Once this is done, check the ECM for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). If no DTCs are set relating to the TTVA, the TTVA is fully calibrated and ready for use.

Hey thanks a lot for the info BigIron70..... That helps a lot. I followed your instructions and everything seems fine. Drove the truck a little bit today and no problems..... Hopefully the rest of it'll hold till I can afford a billet trans.....
My truck threw this same code and one other one when my batteries were going bad. I took it to the shop that I have do all of my oil changes and they load tested the batteries and this code poped. The only way I could get it to clear was to program my truck back to stock then reload my programmer.
