p0125 with Quad std box
Got a code P0125 - Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control - while running about 60 mph loaded with camper. Driving in the mountains in BC on the weekend - not particularly hard. I noticed the check engine light on while cruising level - Quad standard box set to '60 hp' mid level position, around 15-18 psi and 8-900 deg. The previous day I had been boosting upwards of 30-35 psi and 1200 or so while climbing some steep grades and no codes thrown. Engine temp guage reading normal.
I didn't notice exactly when the light came on as there was no engine misfire or anything else irregular. I turned the box to the 'off' position and continued on my way. When we stopped for a break (after cool down) I checked for the code, and cycled the engine to clear the check engine light. Put the box back to the '60hp' position, drove home and no more codes....but some real pretty scenery nice grades to go up (and down).
Is this a quad blip? Should I be concerned? Did a site search but nothing remarkable...
A few months ago I thew a P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input and at the same time a P0073 (??). It cleared itself and again, no recurrance. Are these also quad blips?
thanks, Steve

The P0107 was probably some sort of intake related code?? hard to say exactly but that sort of code is typically associated with an intake type malfunction or change.
The water temp code has nothing to do to with any modifications. Have you checked your coolant level? DC has had a tendancy at times to over/under fill many things on these trucks. I would check the coolant level and see what you come up with.
I don't see any possible way a module could cause any coolant temperature codes.

Thanks Quad...I was hoping for that reply.
Coolant overflow bottle wasn't up to the full line when hot, so I might want to add a litre or so. If I recall, it was about a 1/3 full so if there's a sensor there that might be it....
I'm equally baffled by the P0107. Any idea about the P0073 ? Can't find that one in the usual places.
I cleared these codes and will take out the code reader to see if I have any others and clear the current code. See if it comes back...
