I have no solution for you guys except for to maybe use some type of glue or switch to an a-pillar pod. However, I did want to say that I almost fell out of my seat laughing when I read the title of this thread.

I cleaned the window and the pod good but the pod side fell off once early last summer. Cleaned it real good again and superglued the velcro to the pod havent had a problem since. Oh it is 4 gauge pod.

Yeah, th eproblem is the "generic brand" adhesive on ethe velcro. Like I did, and booman70 did if you are having problems, krazy glue or super glue the velcro to the pod/windshield.

My power module went out on me about a year ago and I used the supplied bracket so I had to pull the whole overhead down .So for my second install I used the RTV stuff and used black tape to push fit the gauges in. Now I will not have to remove the mount to change gauges which means nothing will need to be removed. Rember everything removable will remain perminate and everything permenent will need to be removed.
This is some good advice. I'm glad I saw it cause I tried and it works great. My overdrive has a small box with an on/off switch which was simply velcroed under the console in front of my gear shifter. Every time my truck sat out in the hot sun 80+ F the sticky stuff would just turn to goo and the box would drop down I left the velcro on there and just smeared a nice skim of black RTV on top of the sticky stuff. Then I pressed it into place and jammed a wooden wedge under there to hold it in place snuggly overnight. It's been "hangin in there" over a week now in 100F weather and hasn't dropped down yet. I've even tugged on it slightly and it won't come down it's stuck on there real good.
