Opinions on best Intake?

Guys what is your opinion on the best intake for these truck. the truck will not be used for drags or pullin. Just an everyday driver with some exhaust.

There changes every few yrs so its hard to find tests showing every yr & after market product , but from past writings I've read , the stock box with a good air filter is best , as for air filters , I went with the dry Amsoil Ea filter , but I have read since that the cone filters , cause an unwanted vortex in the intake .
More for discussion .

IMO, afe stg 2 or Airaid w/ tqe tube. Like I said, IMO, because I have both and have had others. I don't like drop ins because of the surface area restriction.

Pick up a copy of Diesel Power when they have an article on the trucks of guys who compete in the drags....AFE is often what most of them have.

Inexpensive upgrade

An easy inexpensive modification is get a 4 inch dryer vent kit and remove the hood & flapper from the exhaust vent, then cut a 4 inch hole in the stock airbox and push the exhaust vent though the hole and secure with sheet metal screws. Take the flexible hose and place just about anywhere you like; depending on location you can even get a little ram air effect. There several good aftermarket stock replacement filters available so just pick one. Personally I like the oiled foam or new nanofiber dry filters. Good luck.

AFE Stage 2 works nicely for me and the truck is an everyday driver and I tow pretty frequently with it as well.

Main thing is to try and keep the under hood heat away from the intake. I run a AFE box and trq tube with a volant power core filter. It works fine for me, I did notice a little differance when I changed from the stock box.
