Only 406 hp?

My brother has a 05 cummins with 90hp injectors, fass 95/150, edge w/attitude, banks intercooler, banks high ram, bd twins (we think they are towing, but we are not sure, they were bought used), 4 inch exhaust and a nadp full race tranny. There was only 7hp difference between drive (#3) and extreme (#5). We know its needs a cp3, but we figured it would pump out more power than that.

Yep...stock cp3 with those 90 hp injectors will drain the rail so fast that the cp3 never gets under them. Stage 2 cp3 minimum for 90 hp injectors.

I bet you hook a rail pressure gauge to the truck and it will never see anything over 12-15k psi at WOT. You neeed to be at 22k plus to see at least 600 with that set-up.

I dyno'ed 481/930 with stock injectors, stock cp3, stock exhaust, stock turbo. Only mods where juice "hot" flashed, airaide intake, Glacier LP w/big line kit. Did not have the EZ on when I did this run. I have not dyno'ed since adding the EZ.

For all those non believers:

Sounds like you definately have fuel feed problems with those 90's. I would either go back to stock injectors, or go with a better aftermarket cp3.

I haven't dynoed yet, but I know I've gotta be over the 600 mark (fingers crossed). I can hit 27-29K on my quad rp gauge (wot)....I have a stg III cp3. My twins are from dieselpowersource which I know aren't anywhere near top of the line turbos but they do work--so far. The top is a 65/12/65, bottom 74/26/76.

What's a guess on my #'s... Sorry for hyjack, couldn't help myself.

i think either the dyno was wrong or there is something wrong with the truck. you should have dynoed more, i hit 382 with just a edge juice and a K&N

a few years ago when i first started modding i dynoed with just an ez cai and a str8 pipe and put down 351 and 705. then later i did 596 and 1147 with stock pump and injectors put a stage 3 cp3 on their and gained almost 80 hp. you would be suprised at what good sustained rp will do i thinks thats the key to power in these commonrail trucks

Was that with a stock auto???? Stock with an auto you would only put down around 275-285 at the wheel. I only see a Smarty Jr and Arson kit. Not to bad for what you have.
