Here are 3.3's with a 66 As you can see it would not clear the smoke on sw #7

I'd go with the largest injectors you could. I've also heard that 6.2's drive fairly well for there size.

Smarty tnt-r on sw 7 and pwer puck on 60hp. RP was at 27.5k+. You can see the smoke doesn't clear @ 60psi of boost. and Yes 1900-2000* during sled pulls

So far, we found the 03's and 04's can use a larger injector and continue to make power. After about a 5.1 or so, the 04.5 and up years begin to smoke and not make much more power. Although there are some exceptions and eventually we will have the ability to go larger. Some guys already run a larger injector on the 04.5 and ups, but not much more power is available until we tweak other parameters.

For the 03-04's we have tried up to a 7.5. They are obviously for a max effort engine. NO towng, etc.

The 04.5's usually work well with a 4.3 or so. With single turbos and no water, limit it to a 3.3-3.8, IMO. Some run larger and do well, but I get nervous myself. Things can get toasty and melt racing and pulling without air and water inj.

03-04's can use a 5 or 6 with little driving and towing issues with enough turbo/air. Twins in other words.

There really is no universal size, since turbos, tire size and gear ratio varies so much from truck to truck. Lets not forget altitude either.

Okay so if all I'm pulling with that truck (ie towing) is gonna be our deck boat -- what size you wanna make those injectors when you get 'em in Don? somewhere in happy-land between 5 and 6? Or do you think it is in my best interest to go no larger than the 5's we already discussed. Thanks again, all!

I think you could go as large as a 6 or so, if you have water inj when towing.

Make sure you have an extra set of clean shorts in the truck with you the first time you drive those 6.2's .

Probably not. Best I got out of a 71mm a5000 was 754 uncorrected with flux 4s and twin pumps. It was out of air. Tim
