One Gauge Two Source Question

Here's what I have, a Dipricol Optix trans temp gauge with the sender in the back of the Mag Hytec pan. I'm also running a Mag diff cover with a temp port ready for a sending unit.

My question is if I have a second temp sensor same as the trans I should be able to put it in the diff cover and wire it to a single pole double throw switch to where I could sellect which temp source I want to view with the gauge.

Please let me know if I'm crazy or if the voices in my head are right on the money.

Theretically yes, it should work. Will it? I don't know...

I don't see why not. All your doing is changing the source that the electric gauge is recieveing it's info from.

I'v tried it. It works exactly as you describe. You could even use a rotary switch and monitor 3-4 sources with the same gauge.
