Oil Pressure Port

Anyone use the oil pressure port on the oil filter assy, to tap for a real oil pressure gauge?

TIA

yep. had mine there originally, then moved to the lube oil gallery on the engine left side [there are 2 m10x1.0 ports there] the ports on top of the filter pad are standard 1/8" npt fittings

the reading is about 2-3psi lower off the block side... i plan on running a lube oil temp gauge and the filter pad is a better location for temprature. the one port is easy to access, the other is blocked making it a poor location to get pressure or temp off of.

Thanks Nick!

Looks like I'll just go with the pressure port on the oil filter assy.
