I believe that makes you member #16... Be sure to send in your install pics here and let us know how you like 'em. I'm interested in how you spool!

I'm surprised that you are having issues with spoolup Soulezoo. I have the same hyb.35 /HT3B combo you have, but it responds more like Shanes. If I want to, I can cause a smoke screen, but I can drive it pretty hard without, depending on how I roll into it. On anything more than stock fuel it spools as good as I can ask and that is on 41" tires and 3.73 gears. Also with it set like that, I am just crossing the 1300* mark passing the finish line at the quarter, with stack in my sig.(except 37" tires)

It may be a little of expectations as well. I was used to the stock (w/9cm exhaust housing) spooling right now with beta 4.4 and little smoke. It would jump from 2psi to 20psi in an instant. But it would die there and only get to about 24 total. With the twins I have to roll into it like you say in order to spool nicely and keep smoke down. Once at 10psi it will take off like a rocket. But until then it is a little laggy. Not real bad mind you, I just would have liked it to be a little faster like the stock was. But I do have a 14cm exhaust housing on the hx35. That is the big compromise between spooling fast and keeping drive pressure/back pressure at a good level. I have wondered if a 12cm exhaust would have been better served.

You should throw a 12cm housing on there and see. Should be cake to swap them out on the top turbo.

Altitude has a big effect on housing sizes (I think you said you're at 4k+?). HTT told me that a 14cm at 4k' is equal to an 18cm at sea level.

I was able to black out a 4 lane highway in Salt Lake (~4k') with the twins and 4.4. Now at sea level I have to really try and lug it then go WOT to get any real smoke, but even then it clears up instantly. I can still spool the twins with minimal lag using stock fueling too. Max EGT's with stock fueling are 1130*.

Hey guys, if you don't have your "Twins List" restricted to just the CR Trucks and don't mind an Administrator being on it please add my name to your list. Everything is in my signature below.

I have Scheid Diesels' Twin Turbo Set-Up with a Schwitzer 62/12 on top and a B-2 on the bottom.

Also, my Son John Jr. who goes by "banshee" here has a 2004 Dodge CTD CR also with Scheid Twin Turbos but his are the HX-40/16 on top and the B-2 on the bottom.

Thanks.

That's right and I think you ought to be paying me alimony or "child support" or somethin'

And even at 4000' I'll hit 45 psi, max egts of 1300 with beta 4.4 on 9 and six gun at six. But boy can I fog out the canyon until those twins hit!!
Yeah-- the altitude makes a big difference... at sea level it does spool a lot faster!
