Oem Bfg's Vrs Nitto Terra's

Well just replaced my stock 265 bfg rugged trails with the nitto terra 285 e rated tire. Tires look good, thought Id give them a try........well down at the lease this weekend the nittos took a couple mequite thorns to the sidewalls, pretty much without resistance I would say. The bfg's never took any puntures from the brush down there in the past year that Ive been on the lease. I have gone thru much worse brush with the bfgs' and never had any leaks. Now I have a two week old set of $800 tires that have slow leaks.........grrrrrrr!! anyone feel my pain !!

Be glad the tires are under warranty! By the way since when did the CTD's come stock with BFG's. I have only seen them with stock Michellins. I do feel your pain, tire problems are never fun.

guess I'll just add alittle "slime" to each tire and hope for the best. Something rang a bell in my thoughts earlier about the PLYS in the tire. Looks like the Nitto is a 6 ply on the belt and 2 on the sidewall !!!!! Bfg has a three ply sidewall.....
