When I start my truck the engine miss at fast idle? Or you could say it has a lope like a big cam? what wrong? It drives great, You can hammer on it and it is fine low idle. I changed the fuel filter and it still does it. and turned the quadzilla off to

I have said for some time now that my truck does the same thing. I always thought that it was the 3 cylinder idle. Others say that the '03s don't have that, but in the cold, during the fast idle is the only time I've ever heard it do it. I can't find anything in print to back up my belief, but if I had to guess, thats what I'd say it is!

It does it in the morning it will run for 2 min and then go to high idle and then like in 5 sec it will start lopeing. Then I will let it warm up and go to town then When I get to town the truck is warm, I stop at john Deere and talk With my friend and come back out and it and its loping. i have no idea

When I had my banks on it would do the same exact thing you said, fluctuating up and down on high idle. Hasn't been cold enough for high idle right now though. probably a normal occurence...

Mine has also always done it when it is fairly cold outside in the mornings. Less than about 35 degrees or so. I am at about 130k and had no mods for the first 80k and continue to have no "problems." Unless you count the air/panel issue that most 03's seem to have, I figure that is just a given.
