no locking hubs
Not that it matters much in this case, but you should post in the 3rd gen forums for questions pertaining to 03 and later CTD's......and fill out your sig so we know exactly what you are driving.
Because of the silly spindleless front wheel bearing assembly that Dodge uses, there is no practical way to add locking hubs since it is only a semi-floating axle assembly instead of full-floating. I know for 2nd gens Dynatrac offers a kit that converts the D60 front to 35 spline inners with the option of 35 spline outers and converts the frontend to a full-floating arrangement with spindles......this system uses manual locking hubs. These kits are not cheap and are considered a heavy duty upgrade for offroad use......I am not certain if a similar kit is offered for AAM axles on 3rd gens....but if it isn't, I would not be surprised if Dynatrac is working on it.

I am currently in the process of getting royally screwed for a front hub job at an area shop/ used truck dealer.
I had enquired about converting to a manual hub setup and contacted Warn and some others and had no luck. Decided to just stick with the stock setup.

Second Gens can use this setup.

Pricey but some may feel it is worth it.

Dynatrac is working on an unlockable hub setup for 3rd gens. There is a group buy and other information on TDR. I was one of the ones who gave dynatrac my truck for a few days to engineer something. I believe they are getting close.
