a couple of months ago, there was a thread about nitro and #2. i believe the consensus was too hot.

My traxxas revo runs on that stuff (rc 4x4truck for those of you wondering) That stuff burns wicked hot. I wouldn't touch it w/ a 10' pole.

I've added a gallon to 3/4 full tank and saw no difference in temps. But did have a noticable increase in offline performance. And faster turbo spool.

The cummins should like the nitro - it could've been designed for it...

With it's high combustion temperature, slow burn rate and high oxygen content (about half of it's mass), the possibilities are tasty...

Besides, with it's high latent heat of evaporation, it would really help keep the EGTs low - even with quadruple-stacked Crazy Dog SuperSmack Chips

It does burn in the absence of oxygen though, after primary combustion, so I'll have to think on this one some more...
