von Diesel,

Why would you pour in balancing beads when you can have them balanced perfectly in the normal way and be done with it? How are balancing beads better than weights?????

Wetspirit,

According to the research I've done and the posts I've read, balancing beads are a new technology and have some impressive results. To be honest...the weights on the wheels look like crap, cause corrosion problems and are a pain in the rear to clean around.

Had my rims done at a machine shop - worth the extra cost.
When I had my Dick cepeck FCII tires balanced I had them put the weights to the inside of the rim - Balanced way better than my stock rims with the 315 BFGS.
Ride is also way better than stock rims with the BFGS. No rubbing at all.

I'm wondering what the impressive results are. My weights are mounted on the inside of the wheel and I can't see them unless I pull a wheel off, and I don't clean in there.
When you say the beads have some impressive results do you mean it was a favorable impression? What do the beads do when the wheel stops turning? Do they wear the inside of the tire? I can't see why they might be better than weights, or even how they must work.

Just a thought: Be sure to have a source of DRY air if using internal balancing (beads). The over the road folks have been using them for years and the work well but you must NEVER allow water (from a air line/tank that has not been drained/filtered/dried. It may cake and cause problems. Your average fuel station has a bunch of water in the air lines.
