New tires and Wheels
Just got my new tire and wheel combo today, 17 inch moto metal wheels with 315 BFG A/T's, and the wheels would not fit on the truck. It was the correct lug pattern and everything but the wheel would hit the brake caliper. Has anyone else had this problem with these wheels? I'm so ticked off right now, the wheels look awesome on the truck.
Man, your not alone. I went through 3 sets and the Helo's finally cleared the calipers (close, but cleared). Centerline has a brand out that is closely mated for our trucks. I almost gave up. It's a pain, but you got to look. Good luck.
I am sending the wheels and tires back and i think i am going to go with the 285's next time. I cant justify the extra cost of 315's, loss of power and fuel mileage with the 3.73 gears I have. Are any of you running a leveling kit with 285's? Do they look to small of kinda like the stock 265 look? Thanks.
I put 285's on mine (no lift). I got pics in my gallery. I think they look just fine. I didn't want to go too big. But, I see a ton of 315's on stock wheels. All depends on your taste and the issues you want to deal with.
I have the D25 coil springs (basically a leveling kit) on the front of my 2003 and I run BFG A/T's in 285/70/17 and I think it looks pretty good. What do you think?

I am running 285 BFG's on mine with a 2'' Hell Bent Steel Leveling kit. I don't think they look to small, but everybody has their own tastes. The 285's offer a good compromise between the stockers and 315's. Here is a pic in my gallery with them.
