I was wondering how you guys put the pic in the thread. Then I saw Rattlin Ram's explanation on how to do this in another thread. Thanks.

Ok 285's are on the way with some new wheels. I am about to order the superlift coil springs and some new shocks. I am going to get the blistein's but there are 2 options when ordering them. One for GVWR less than 7500 pounds and one for more than 7500 pounds. Which do i need. The heavist i tow is about 6000 pounds. Thanks.

GVWR is the weight of your vehicle and it's cargo. That has nothing to do with pulling/towing weight, except for tongue weight of the hitch. I would think the less than 7500lbs shocks would be for half ton trucks.

Your truck probably weighs close to 7500 by itself....so you need the bigger shocks.

Thanks Texas. I just got off the phone with rockymountain suspension. They guy on the phone told me not to go with superlift springs but instead go with the revtek leveling kit. I was kinda unsure about the revtek because i have heard of the studs breaking on other people spacers. Am i wrong in thinking that the springs are much less likely to cause the death wobble than spacers? Please let me know before i buy.

I can't speak for the springs or other spacers. I am happy with the HBS kit in the link above. So far no issues with death wobble that I am aware of. Top quality product with grade 8 bolts.

If money was not an issue, I would go with KORE springs.

But those are going to cost some bucks no matter which kit you get. Since I am not putting my truck in the Baja 1000....I figured the spacers by HBS would work ok for my purposes.

Johndeere, I do not know about the 285's and mileage but i am about to put some on monday and will let you know. I think they would actully help a little because it lowers the RPM's a little bit but I dont know, I could be wrong. Anyone else have input on the superlift springs or revtek spacers?

If you go with the 2" leveling spacers and shocks, would you have to put something in the rear to compensate for a heavy load? I mean like some air bags in the rear or an extra leaf? I would not want the rear to sag with a load in it.

Not that it matters but I figure I'll post my pics anyway.... no leveling kit, stock alloys and BFG 315s. When these wear out I'd really like to find some thinner tires that are the same height. Something like a 285/85R17. Or maybe I'll just move up to 19.5s

(I know, bad pic)

This is what I have installed on my 2003: http://www.skyjacker.com/products-se...partnumber=D25

and have had absolutely no problems. The ride is excellent. Not sure about the cost cause they were installed on the truck prior to me buying it

i have the revtek spacers and they have been on the truck for about 30k. from what i heard a while back they used a little bit better studs on the spacers so they would not break. knock on wood i have not had a problem at all, no death wobble no broken bolts and ive beat the hell out of the suspension. i also have the 315's that everyone seems to think causes death wobble. i will be going to the 285's after this set wears out jsut because most of my driving is done in town and with the 3.73's mpg kinda hurts at about 14 but i was getting 21 on freeway cruise set at 67mph.

hope this helps

Thanks guys. I ended up ordering the Revtek spacers. They will be here tomorrow . Can't wait to put them on. 285's will be here monday with some new wheels. One more question though, how hard is the install? Are there any special tools I need to get? Thanks again.

Hey Hump, nice rig. According to the website the Eagle Alloys have only 4 5/8 BS. How bad do they stick out? I dont want flares, so I must ask. Can you post pics from front & rear view?
