New smarty sr...... What settings?

So I picked up a smarty SR. tonight, and man does it wake the truck up!
Had a quad box on the truck previously, but starting having serious issues with it, so decided to take the plunge, and glad I did!
Having recently installed a con OFE clutch, I figured I'd try out Catcher #9, and it's a beautiful thing! Truck runs so much smoother, power across the entire band, just couldn't be happier.

I see that I can now modify some of the settings ("default" on the catcher software shows that all settings are set to #2 across the board). My concern is that I have an unknown life left on my injectors.
I bought the truck just under 100k, and now have 245k on it. I have never done injectors on it, and don't know of they've ever been replace prior to me owning the truck.
This means they have AT LEAST 145k on them.
I don't really want to take rail pressure up past 2 for fear of shortening the life of the injectors more, but can I raise the timing, and torque Managment up a notch or two, or would this lead to injector failure sooner as well?

Congrats on the smarty!

First, I would leave the pressure at stock or default. But as you indicated not over 2.

Torque management is more for auto transmissions, so you won't really see much effect for your use.

You can raise timing... to your comfort level. Some folks are put off by increased injector rattle.

On the whole each truck responds differently to the settings. Play around with it and enjoy!

Thanks for the advice!
I couldn't help but play with it a little bit (or a lot).
Currently it's on SW #9, timing 4, torque management 4, rail pressure 2.
The truck Really seems to like this.
For fear of losing injectors, I'll leave rail pressure at 2.

I fully expected to get injector chatter at that level, but I hear none what so ever!
I had a quad box on the truck, and all the higher settings caused the idle to hang, a d the injectors to sing like a seasoned accopella group......I hated it!

I still can't believe how much better the truck feels. Obviously in the power department, but it now idles so smooth, you can't even feel it sitting still. It starts easier/smoother, and doesn't shake at shutdown.
So far, I couldn't be happier, and really wished I hadn't waited this long.

One thing I'm surprised about is the lack of smoke! I knew I could set it to have less smoke then my previous setup, but this is quite nice! I really enjoy having the power, and not smoking out the neighborhood when I use it.

I assume if I increase rail pressure, the smoke would return? I'm only speculating since that's the only setting I haven't raised substantially.

I'd add GDP's 2- micron fuel filtration to your truck if applicable and it's hard to beat the stock airbox with the newer 4" paper filter.
The new Smarty tunes are way smoother and cleaner than before.

Any of the settings can affect smoke output. Usually torque management does this the most, then pressure, then timing.

If you're happy where you are at, then just run it!
