I run my smarty on sw 9 and the ez on level 1. I just got a new factory clutch and when it goes i will get a high performance one. It is all how you control your foot. I am easy on it so I expect the clutch to last for awhile. I want the most power available in case I need it. I have had the superchips before and the smarty is better hands down. Like the other guy said put it on level 9 and get after it! I think you will like it better, plus its undetectable! Im not sure what level of the smarty compares to the program you were running on the superchip. Level 5 or 7 ought to be it.

Lets just say, get a good clutch. I ran sw5 moderate tq, too long and now 1800.00 later I have a new dd southbend waiting to go in...

Sorry I should have put in a signature but I have an auto tranny. sw7 would be about the same as the superchips. But the I am going to try stock tq management with aftermarket turbo stock injectors at sw 7 so6v411bd111b36.7z for the closest comp to superchips and will report back. Thanks Mike

well i've had my smarty for about 4 months now. i still have the stock clutch and only 38k miles on it. i've ran sw5 for 90% of the time. i ran sw7 once, and sw1 and sw3 a few times. now after drifting, getting the truck sideways showin off, and everything, my rpms jump if i put the pedal to the floor in 5th and 6th on sw5. i backed it off to sw3 so I can savor my clutch for a little while longer.

i had use of a friend's flashpaq when i first bought my truck, and before the required updates, the orginal 3805 on performance provided pretty good and even power. most of the issues with the flashpaq seems to have happened since they made users update their tuners. whether you have a flashpaq, a smarty, or a triple dog like me, the difference between the 70-90 hp levels will be very minor. with smarty, you still have higher sw levels to go to, and with bully dog you have crazy larry, while with superchips you have maxed out on the performance level.

Seems like a good plan...if it still doesnt get you there...try the mild tq mgmt on level 7....just don't thrash it...the latest smarty files are a lot smother than the old ones....very deceptive, but fast.....if you want raw power, get your trans built and try beta 4.4....that'll push you in your seat sideways as the backend passes the front in a cloud of smoke....

What year truck do you have?

It is an 05. tried the stock tq managment stock turbo & injectors on sw 7 pretty close to sc perf. I will try with aftermarket turbo later. accidently downloaded with moderate tq management on sw7 last night tq converter bounced a little getting on highway other than that I liked the light throttle but was very easy on it going home little leary of the tq convertor.

X10,000 here...

Smarty was by far the most expensive thing I have ever bought in my life... other than a couple of wedding rings and the ongoing associated costs of those... the gift that keeps on taking...

Sounds like your using them both the wrong way.

Maybe you'd like to take over the payments on one of the other rings??

Tried the stock inj. aftermarket turbo stock tq management on sw 7 boost would go to about 38- 40# then go back and forth. power was close to superchips. the smoke with the smarty is less than my sc.also my boost gage with the superchips would rattle under boost with smarty no rattle, just an observation. put it back to 4.11 2.11 at sw3 for now.how would a stock tranny hold up to sw7 with mild tq I do not do boosted launches or a lot of drag stop light to stop light. just once in a while get on it to get on highway or beat someone from the stop light to get over. Thanks for all replies on this thread. Mike

i think you'd be ok with what you describe above, but it comes down to how conservative you are....
