New redesigned Edge EZ for the 03-04's?
New redesigned Edge EZ for the 03-04's?
Just looking at the Edge Performance webpage they are showing the EZ as being adjustable on the fly now for the '03-04 models. 3 power levels unlike the old box that had 4 (or 5) that was only adjustable by manually changing the jumper settings.

Anyone tried the new version or is this a misprint?

Yup, it is like the 04.5+ boxes. I was trying to remember how to adjust mine and was looking all over for the instructions. Finally i called Edge to get instructions and they were like, "oh, you have the old one..." They thought i was dumb asking how to adjust the settings. They told me to just flip the switch....
email to Edge:
"Has the Edge EZ for the 2003-2004 Dodge diesel been redesigned? After glancing at the Edge Products website, it appears that model #30203 now has an in-cab toggle switch and different power levels. How are these new power levels different from the power levels in the old style EZ with the jumpers inside the module for 2003-2004 Dodge diesels? I am mainly concerned with maintaining safe rail pressure levels on my stock injectors. Thanks for your time."
response from Edge:
"Honestly there is no change in tuning between the two different versions. Rail pressure is the same with jumpers or toggle. The main purpose of the redesign is due to customer demand to have it adjustable from inside the cab. I hope this answers your questions.
thanks,"

I've got the new style, small three position toggle switch mounted under the dash. I believe the HP settings are +25, +45 and +65. Can't remember the torque gain but seems like it's +50, +100 and +150 pounds?? The low setting makes the engine comparable to the 04.5 models.
I'm currently running on the mid setting. Tracking mileage. See great gains on highway running 1800 rpm. No noticeable gain in normal daily driving back and forth to work. But I'm only about 3K miles into it.

Want to sell your EZ? I'm looking for one with the toggle. pm me please.

That was the first box that I put on my 03, but back then there was alot of people claiming that they "Edge" ran the rail pressure too high and it was cracking injectors. I don't know if it was true or not.

Just FYI we released new part #'s in our lineup that supercede the Xzillaraider 2 (X2) parts. They are all the price of the towing module (XZT) and are adjustable on the fly up to 140hp and have rail pressure and boost pressure gauges built in.
Just FYI if you are looking for something similar to the EZ with more bells and whistles for even a smaller price.
For your application the new part# would be xz1003
