New Injectors?

While at my dealer getting my tranny serviced, the service manager talked about new injectors. His suggestion was 125 hp Kax injectors. He claimed that if dealer installed it will not void the warranty. I asked about the added torque to the transmission. Not a problem was his reply. Installed price is around $1200. What does everyone think?

I think your dealer would change his tune pretty quick if you went in there for warranty work. It's so easy to say that it's not a problem when he's not looking at a repair bill on the house. There is no way they wouldn't void your warranty, he or someone else there would find a reason to void it if you came in with an expensive problem. I hope for your sake that's not the case, but I highly doubt it....it's as old as business itself....the ole bait and switch tactic.

What dealer is it cause we are from the same town and thats one hell of a deal. As far as the warranty its probably just for the injectors and not the melted down motor from not letting up on it after 5 miles.

I think I would pass on that idea. 90% of dealers can't tell when you have injectors (smaller injectors) and its better that way. Do your own. They won't even know. Then you don't have to worry about the problems you may encounter in the future for warrenty work. If you let them install those injectors and you do have problems, them it comes down to your word against theirs. Well let me tell you what, you won't win that battle. Who do you think they are going to want to pay for damages???? That would be you my friend. I have been down that road.
