New guy in town

Just bought myself an 06 Megacab. It's now rollin on 37's and 20's and was wondering what would be the best tuner to go with. I think gas mileage is key right now with sleddin season coming up. I think I have my mind made up on a 5" MBRP exhaust. Any other suggestions on mods would be greatly appreciated. New to the diesel world, be gentle....

Thanks guys,

Nick

Welcome to the DTR...
Check out the DTR store, there are some really good products in there. I have an Edge, but the Smarty is a great programmer, too. It all depends on what you are looking for.

Welcome you will find all this to be addictive. I know I do. On the power add ons I would go with the smarty. I have one and it is incredible.

What ever programmer you chose get a boost fooler and a intake and of course gauges. Be prepared to get 100 different answers on the best programmer.

I know the addiction. I was previously into LS1 forums and mods but now I have finally stepped up to the diesel.

I appreciate all the input.

Biggest thing for me was... Start with supporting mods first. Guages, air, fuel, and exaust upgrades, then power. Better save for a tranny, cause if you are serious about power, you'll need it.

Fill out your sig so we know what you have. Got to the top left side of the page, click on user cp, then edit signature.

Good Luck, and if you have questions, ASK!

Poser,

Your "gas" mileage will be horrible and may require a tow. Run diesel in that thing!

I have a Smarty and highly recommend it. Have fun.

Smarty is killer the new x2 from quadzilla is great also. The smarty will wear out your transmission pretty fast if you dont drive it the right way.
